Roach lines up former world champ to spar with Manny Pacquiao

Venezuelan Jorge Linares will be imported from the US when Manny Pacquiao kicks off his eight-week buildup for his November 12 rubber match with Juan Manuel Marquez. Hall of Fame cornerman Freddie Roach revealed over the weekend that Linares, a 25-year-old former world champion, will join him when he flies to Manila in the third week of September to preside over Pacquiao’s training camp.

Roach will spend three weeks with the Filipino pound-for-pound king in Baguio City then head back to the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood for the final five weeks.
